Acid stimulation with coiled tubing services is the preferred method for improving carbonate reservoirs recovery in horizontal wells.
This operation is a standard solution for Middle Eastern countries and some China regions. Traditionally, hydrochloric acid solutions are used.

Marker-reporters are introduced directly into the acid and each interval of acid treatment is marked with the individual code.
Marker diagnostics help to promptly determine well intervals with low productivity.
Based on the diagnostic data, the coiled tubing is repeatedly carried out in the well for additional acid treatment of these intervals. In most cases, this leads to a significant increase in production rate.
In the long term, the markers are placed into the rock by adsorption and are washed out by the fluid after approximately 6 months. This enables creation of the well inflow profile without well intervention.
